World Asthma Day

World Asthma Day 2003, organized by the Global Initiative for Asthma
(GINA), will be held May 6, 2003. The event
represents a partnership between health care groups and respiratory
educators to raise awareness about asthma.

2003 National Asthma Conference

June 19-21, 2003
- An exciting multi-disciplinary program that will
feature presentations examining clinical practices and community
strategies designed to reduce asthma-related mortality and morbidity
- A faculty of renowned asthma experts who will be
speaking at the National Conference on Asthma 2003
- Two extended open periods where the options will
include unique community & clinical "grand rounds," poster
presentations, roundtables, networking opportunities, and exhibits
- Continuing education credits for physicians,
nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and health educators
- Satellite uplink of the opening morning's sessions
for local communities to host their own videoconferences
- Two receptions open to all attendees
- A 5K fun run and walk

The 2003 National Asthma Conference is sponsored by
the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program and coordinated by
the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
