Pfizer Has Recalled Nardil Tablets

(Nardil is a monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor used to treat depression as well as anxiety or phobias mixed with depression.)

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released the following information.

Nardil Tablets (Phenelzine Sulfate Tablets, USP) 15 mg, 100 count bottles, Rx only. Recall # D-009-3.

Lot 354O1L exp. 9/30/02.

RECALLING FIRM/MANUFACTURER
Recalling Firm: Pfizer, Inc., New York, NY, by letters on September 10, 2002.
Manufacturer: Pfizer, Inc., Lititz, PA. Firm initiated recall is ongoing.

REASON
Subpotent; (9 month stability).

VOLUME OF PRODUCT IN COMMERCE
19013 bottles.

DISTRIBUTION
Nationwide.
